Bubble Hash
Bubble Hash is a solventless concentrate that showcases the pure essence of the cannabis plant. At Sour Flower Organics, we create Bubble Hash with care and precision, using a process that honors the plant’s natural integrity. By starting with fresh-frozen flower and carefully extracting trichomes through ice water agitation, we ensure a high-quality product that is rich in flavor, potency, and terpenes.
The Wash
Using reverse osmosis (RO) water and RO ice, we meticulously prepare our washing vessel to ensure a clean and efficient process. The frozen flower is placed inside the vessel, which is then filled with chilled water at exactly 35°F. RO ice is added to fully submerge the flower, allowing it to soak until it begins to thaw and reaches the perfect temperature for washing.
The washing process begins once the flower is pliable and ready. The washing machine creates a controlled current, gently agitating the mixture. This current, combined with the chilled water, separates trichomes from the plant material without compromising their integrity. The machine operates at a specific RPM for a set amount of time, ensuring that the process is both efficient and precise. Once the cycle is complete, the trichome-rich water is ready for the next step.
THE COLLECTION
The trichome-rich water is carefully drained over a stack of micron screens, which are designed to capture trichomes of varying sizes. Each screen in the stack filters out specific sizes, with the largest trichomes collected on the topmost screens and the smallest on the lower ones. This layered approach ensures a thorough separation and high-quality end product.
Once the trichomes are separated, the hash is gently collected from the screens and placed onto trays. These trays are then moved to a freeze-dryer, where the moisture is removed while preserving the delicate structure of the trichomes. The result is premium Bubble Hash, ready for the next stage of processing or use.
