Living Soil Flower

Living soil ecosystems drive plant vitality, rebalanced through precise testing and thoughtful reamendment. Beneficial insects create a natural defense, maintaining an organic and sustainable cultivation process.

The Hunt

We run new genetics searching for the best and when we find it we keep hunting.

VEG

We start some plants from seed and some from clone, but they all go into Veg! The early stages of the plants life is important for a healthy life.

Flower

The flowering stage of the cannabis plant is a remarkable transformation, typically taking 8 to 9 weeks for most strains to fully mature. It begins with the appearance of tiny white stigmas and calyxes, which mark the plant's transition into reproduction. These stigmas grow from the calyxes that gradually form dense, trichome rich flower. Throughout this cycle, we maintain a carefully controlled climate using dehumidifiers, air circulation systems, air exhaust fans and fresh air intake to create an optimal environment. While keeping conditions as natural as possible, we prioritize the happiness and health of our plants, ensuring they thrive and produce the highest quality flower with exceptional flavor and potency.

Harvest

Harvesting cannabis is a carefully timed and meticulous process at Sour Flower Organics. We harvest our plants when the trichomes are perfectly ripe, ensuring optimal potency, flavor, and effects. The plants signal their readiness as trichomes turn cloudy, with little to no clear trichomes and a few amber ones appearing. At the same time, the plant begins to show signs of slowing down its nutrient uptake, and some leaves start to take on autumnal hues, mirroring the natural cycle of fall.

During the harvest, all large fan leaves are gently removed to streamline the drying process. The plants are then cut down and carefully hung upside down in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room. This controlled environment ensures a slow, even drying process that preserves the cannabinoids and terpenes, setting the stage for the final steps of curing and preparation. Our precise approach to harvesting guarantees that each flower reaches its full potential before reaching you.

The Dry

Time is the game

Post-harvest process is as crucial as the growing and harvesting stages, ensuring the flower maintains its full quality and potency. After harvest, the plants are hung to dry in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment, where air moves gently to prevent mold and preserve the integrity of the buds. This drying process typically takes about 14 days, allowing the flower to dry evenly while retaining its terpenes and cannabinoids.

Hand Trimmed

Once the plants are perfectly dried, each bud is carefully hand-trimmed to remove excess leaves and shape the flower. Hand trimming ensures precision and preserves the delicate trichomes, which contain the plant’s aromatic and medicinal compounds.

The Cure

Following trimming, the flower undergoes a curing process, where it is stored in a controlled environment to allow the moisture to distribute evenly throughout the buds. This process enhances the flower’s flavor, aroma, and overall smoking experience by further developing the terpenes and cannabinoids. By dedicating time and care to drying, trimming, and curing, we deliver a product that reflects our commitment to quality and excellence.
